Alps MVT reel seat

So I really like this reel seat. Light, graphite, sensitive, exposed blank. Not too adjustable. Between sizes there’s about .020 in diameter. So what do you guys do if your in the middle? Order next size up and tape arbor a couple turns? Epoxy fills the gap. Other option is to ream .010. I have reamed one of these a full .020 but that Toray graphite is hard as a witches heart. I’m leaning toward reaming .010 though, for a perfect fit. Suggestions? Not using the insert.

I would get a size smaller and ream to fit this way it’s a perfect fit without an insert. You might still have to add a tape or poly arbor at the locking nut to get that to fit perfectly too.
