Tough... Unless night fishing or low light conditions. Early and late.

    I havent fished Belleville before....
I have fished ford three/four times this year already and have had a good time each time. Lots of nice Smallies......

I was leaving last time and a guy asked if I had any luck and i said oh yeah.
He informed me that Ford fishes better..... just because belleville gets more pressure.....

Take that for what its worth..... I plan to fish Ford until I get bored, then I will venture over to Belleville. Is Belleville supposed to be better?

If you have a choice to fish somewhere else it would be recommended, Belleville can be tough. My recommendation would be to focus on shoreline structure to start with senkos, swim jigs, and topwater. The fish will be smaller but higher catch rate. There's some deeper water offshore humps that hold some larger smallies, but you might only catch a couple.

Try a popper early in the A.M. along seawalls.

If you PM me closer to June I can probably give you an update on Ford. That is really close to me now and convenient, so I will probably fish it a few more times by then.
