Yes I have fished out of my buddies boat the last 2 weekends and with the new update and baitfish and pro settings it’s very good I would say it’s as close to the original as possible

I looked at the garmin website and the gpsmap series says current as of 5.4.21

The echomaps say current as of 3.26.

I assumed that meant that the gpsmap series got an update? Maybe I'm wrong tho....

GPSMAP units have a feature called Presets. It's a collection of settings that are saved with a name. You can link a group of presets to a specific combo panel. That's called a SmartMode panel. On GPSMAP units is a built-in preset for LiveScope named "Pro".
    Individually they are:
    Gain-Auto Medium, Depth and Forward range-Auto, Color Scheme-Amber, Color Gain-Default, Trails and Bottom Fill-Off, Reverse Range-Full, Compress Range-Off, Noise Rejection-Medium, Ghost Reject-Off, TVG-Low, AHRS-On, Focus-Fresh Water.
As far as I can tell these are the initial factory settings.
The feature is handy for me as I use different settings for crappie and walleye so I saved them as LVS-Crappie and LVS-Walleye. It makes it real easy to completely change a group of settings quickly.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.
