Thru hull transducer ?

​​​ Installing new Networked Humminbird Solix units at bow and console but I’m wondering if I still need an additional shoot thru hull TD for running high speed across lake ? I’ll have the MSI/MDI skimmer mounted to transom. If I do need it am I going to need another “Y” cable so I can choose between skimmer and thru hull TD ?

If you want to read a sonar at speed it has to go thru hull.
