Humminbird Helix MDI and MSI G4N Question

At the current moment, I have a MDI+ at the bow, MSI+ at console, and Ultrex (all linked via Ethernet hub and will add another MDI+ in the near future). Everything seems to be communicating with one another at the moment; however, I'm having a little issue with the MDI+ bow unit.

It initially defaulted to the MEGA360 Transducer type (which I don't have). Next closest transducer type is "HW: MDI+ : Mega 360" which looks like it's going to allow me to get 2D/MDI.

Issue is the unit thinks there is a MEGA360 connected and changes the views to 360 view. Trying to view SI+ at the front is replaced with Mega 360 and also stating "Mega 360 Not Detected".

    Thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!

FORGET MEGA 360 so it doesn't do that.

Then you loose all the MEGA 360 Connected Transducer selections and get the original list with Default as the transducer that comes with the unit.

    Wayne,

Thanks for the quick response. When you say "forget" is that a setting in Sonar or are you referring to the View screens?

It's the title of a menu selection.

Current software with a G4N will have MEGA 360 Detect in the Accessory menu.

    Wayne,

Does that option not allow me to see the processed SI from the console though?

If the normal default setting is HW:MEGA SI+ you have to select the console SI unit as the source for SI in the bow DI unit's Network Source menu. Your Ethernet connection has to be functioning to share data.

If MEGA 360 is the Connected Transducer choice, the MEGA 360 has to be set to function as a SI transducer before you share SI to the DI unit.
