    Lowrance/Yamaha VMAX Fuel Monitoring

After seeing Christie monitoring his fuel on the Sabine it got me thinking that it sure would be nice to have this feature on my boat. I run a 2006 stratos 285 pro xl with a Carb'd Yamaha VMAX 2 stroke. My gas tank is small (27 gallons) and the fuel gauge has been broken for some time. It would be nice to know exactly how much fuel I have left when making longer runs in some of the tournaments I fish.

I have two hds 9 gen 3's currently networked together via ethernet and nmea 2000 leftover from when I had elites. It seems like this part is what I would need to add to the nmea 2000 network to be able to see fuel levels?

Or is it worth it to spend the extra $100 for this one?

It seems I would also need this adapter cable.

Any thoughts on this from people running a similar setup would be much appreciated.

You can add a lowrance fuel flow sensor and a nema 2000 network. This will allow you to monitor fuel usage. Reset to zero each time you fill up.

I would only need this part then correct since I already have a nema 2000 network installed? Thanks.
