That's not a crack. That's a structural failure. I guess crack makes it seem not as bad

A few tubes of J-B Weld and some paint, fugheddaboutit... That's the bridge we cross when we go visit our granddaughter in AR. She and DIL are planning to come here for a week mid June, guess they'll have to go across Missouri to Cairo.

I told my wife that if they stopped barge traffic, it was one heck of a crack or worse, it is definitely worse.

Someone said today that more freight crosses that bridge in a day than anywhere in the world. Glad they found it before something happened.

No conspiracy theories that it was sabotaged to trigger a collapse and loss of lives just to get more infrastructure money?

Last inspected in 2019? You would think 60-year old bridges should be looked at a little more frequently, especially ones this important. And especially after the I-35 bridge collapse in MN.

Wow me and the wife were just on that bridge a few weeks ago going out to Colorado to see the grandkids. That's not a pleasant site knowing that, from the looks of it and the amount of rust, that it has been broken for quite a while.
