hey guys just need some advice!. I recently purchased an 07 Z20 with 225 Etech (07). it came with a 23p Fury and man this thing is a slug. i know its a slower hull but 57 mph top speed at 5600 rpm. What props do you guys recommend? I am fully loaded with 2 power poles and tourney load but this should easily be a mid 60's boat. let me know your thoughts and Thank you in Adavance! yes i need to change my signature doh!

Something is definitely wrong. How many hours are on this 2007 motor? I had 460 on mine when it quit on me. I'd have a mechanic thoroughly check out the motor.

I had a 2007 Merc 225 Pro XS 2-stroke with a Tempest 25P prop B&B'd by Mark Croxton on my 2007 Z19. Best PTP on the Bob's hydraulic JP was around 3". It would run 70 (GPS) loaded and 72.3 (GPS) light around 5,800 RPMs. Motor quit and I replaced it with a new Merc 225 Pro XS 4-stroke. After running some tests with Tempest 23P and Croxton B&B'd 23 Fury 3, I settled on the Fury. It was awesome out of the hold loaded with fuel, two guys and all our gear. Best hole shot I've ever experience and I've fished in a lot of boats over the last 30+ years. Mid-range was strong. Top end was 68.1 (GPS) at 6065 RPMs which was a little disappointing but I'll do some more work on trim, jackplate, etc and it's not broken in yet. Only have 10 hours on the motor so far.

Going to borrow a friends 23 Bravo 1 FS and see how it does compares to the Fury. If this dang rain would just quit!

I have a 2007 520 vx ranger with the 225 etech. I am still running the L2 gearcase not the magnum. But best prop is a 25 fury and a bravo 24 with pvs holes . with the 25 fury at 3" below pad im running 68-70 MPH depending on load. with the 24 bravo im 66-68 depending on weight. The bravo has better holeshot and handles better with 2 guys. Man i have spent several hundred of dollars trying props on this thing. I had a croxton razor XL 24, A RKR24 AND THE JUNK 26 RAKER 2 PROP. I havenbt ran a 24 fury3 but would like to. I have 2 10ft talons on my boat with a 8" jackplate if that helps u.

Try a tempest and raise the motor to 3 ptp
