There are many ramps. Most bays have one so you can trailer just a few miles at a time and fish the whole lake.

You can put in at Ky Dam Village and never start your big motor. Fish all day and never leave the bay.

I so want to bring my boat up there and fish on it. Grew up fishing both lakes. Mainly bank but on a boat some too. Sister said it would be cheaper to rent a boat. Still not the same. Want to be on my boat. Don't have the truck to pull it that far right now but may sometime pull it up there.

If you can put into the gulf you can go over to the mississippi river and lock all the way up to the ohio then the tennessee and then into kentucky lake.

I have always liked that "hidden ramp" behind Barkley Dam. Short ride to Kentucky thru the canal.
