    Bob's machine Transom Backing Plates

    https://bobsmachine.com/product/transom-backing-plates/ what does this mean ...made out of cold rolled plate. I know its aluminum. Does this way of making it, improve its strength? Anyone use these? how do you like them?

    I don't have bobs but do use aluminum plates inside transom. Top one in splash well has Nitro logo, under deck lower is just plain20210508_194123.jpg hard to see in pic

    The aluminum is rolled flat from bar stock and cut in pieces instead of cast in a mold which is weaker.

    Also cold rolled aren't subjected to heat before manufacture which could weaken the metal.
