    It is a Banded water snake. I laugh cause every snake around water is a cotton mouth / water moccasin a lot of people could be a whole lot less scared if they learned proper snake identification. 99% of the time it is just a water snake.

    That’s the way it is here too. Biologist say they moccasins don’t live in this area but some people think any snake near water is one.

    That's a Moccasin, don't care what ya say. Even if it is one of those banded whatever you call it, to me, it's a Moccasin!

    i said looks more like a cottonmouth (instead of rattlesnake) I agree is prob just a water snake .

    Without being there I can’t be 100% sure but it doesn’t look like the body of a moccasin. If it is it is on Crack and is poor and skinny as a Racer snake! Check and see if it’s teeth are falling out.
