Plugging forward holes on razor 4

Has anyone tried plugging the forward holes on the xl? I’m in a z520c 250 pro xs 2stroke.
tried several combos of plugs in the rear holes but still not getting a good hole shot. Been running about 2-3” ptp.
would really like to get this thing setup because I strongly believe it will perform better than my fury 4

The GEN 2 torque master or wing master can be tough to adjust the venting. Not sure what lower unit you have.

Its a 2018 and a torq master. Not sure if its gen 1 or gen 2 tho. I do know its 1.75:1. Either way I am a bit disappointed I cant seem to get it figured out.

i do know that when I looked into a spare hub, it was the lower with the larger shaft. The Razor XL is a 24p so i cant imagine I'm over propped.

Are you able to get your rpms close to the rev limiter with a light load?

Lower to 3.5 or open up all holes until you blow out.

It's a gen 2 lower unit. How many rpm's are you turning coming out of the hole your looking for 3800.

Depends on how I have it plugged. Wide open, no plugs, it turns about 4500 and never breaks over. With just the rear holes plugged solid, it takes about a mile to break over. The closest I had it to breaking at 3800, was large hole plugs in three of the four rear holes. If I dropped to 2 it would break at about 4200 and seemed to be slipping badly. That’s why I was wondering if anyone messed with plugging the front holes.

I always recommend plugging the rear holes first. Then start on the front holes until you reach 3500 to 3800 RPMs on hole shot.

When yo get it right you may have to lift just little at nose over with that gear case, That combo should be running at 3 in or deeper in most cases
    Thank You Leon Pugh

Yeah I have noticed that. Maybe it’s just as good as it’s gonna get. Got to admit, I’m little disappointed.

Maybe adjust your load to get more out of the prop.
I have noticed with some props and load, the break over is different.
Some you just keep the hammer down and some you back off the hammer just a tad at break over.

This prop just doesn't seem to be doing it for me. I finally got it to break over at about 3800 but she lugs real bad for few seconds before the RPMs come up and she takes off. Won't power load squat either. Ugh

Are you going to sell it?
