Remember toilet paper. Did people really think that they were going to go more often each day?

Went to Sherwin Williams yesterday and you could not buy paint samples. They said they were trying to preserve paint due to shortages at their manufacturing facility. You could buy a bigger size for $22.00 but the $7.00 sample is a no go. We bought two samples and my wife thinks she wants the third one we didn't buy

Why all of a sudden all the trouble all over USA with anything and everything? It’s like we are falling apart at the seams right in front of the whole world.

I don't think any of the companies expected such a quick recovery and they cut back production and now are trying to catch up in the face of increased demand. Many laid people off and now are having trouble finding workers.

because people are collecting unemployment instead of going back to work so everywhere is just perpetually short staffed.

Pretty much sums it up. No one wants to work anymore. We got lazy over the past 12-15 months.

The ports are backed up with not enough shipping containers to go around. A lot of money being spent by people who didn’t have it to spend, so a good portion is going to China....most of the cheap impulse buys are products manufactured overseas.

The craziest shortage in construction is the little wire ties used to tie rebar together. I have builders with foundations dug but can't get the basement walls poured for lack of a .05 cent wire. I know go old school and tie them from a spool of wire but was told there's none of that available either. My big shortage now is punched angle iron my supplier is trying to limited me to 25 8 ft sticks a week when I used between 50 and 70 a week.

rangered hit it right on the nose. Poor customer service is not caused by the china flu, that is just an excuse.
