    The DOD Chevy Thread

I just inherited a 2014 GMC that my Dad bought new. It only has 28000 miles and I was thinking of deleting it. The throttle response is kinda slow. Will the range device help that or would a programmer that adjusts throttle be better?

The range device will not help with throttle response. I'm running a Diablo tuner on my 2016 Suburban that allowed me to disable AFM and adjust throttle response and shift patterns. It helped a lot.

Have the truck tuned by a professional! They are night and day better if you have a good one in your area!

I'd leave it alone. Unless it runs raggedy, don't fool with it. Change the plugs in another 72,000 miles.

    Besides the DOD, I'll bet it's a 5.3 with 3:08 gears too.

That's weird Al. I had a 2013 with 5.3 engine with 323 rear axle and towed my 21' Skeeter like it wasn't even there.

The only way I could get a grin driving my old 2014 Silverado was to drive it like I hated the damn thing. If you drive it easy it’ll be in top OD gear at what seems like 30 mph.

I’d leave it alone and enjoy the memories.
