transducer question

I have a generation one Helix 7 SI. The transducer is bad and the price of a new one out ways the value of the unit. I have a generation one DI transducer that is in good shape that came off a Helix 9. I'm not concerned about side imaging any more, just wondering if this transducer will give me 2d sonar. Thanks in advance.

The DI 2D piezo is tuned for 200/455 kHz 2D sonar. The Helix 7 SI unit's transducer has a 83/200 kHz 2D piezo. 200 kHz will work the same.
The DI piezo in the DI transducer will be connected to the right side SI circuit of the Helix 7 SI unit.

For 2D sonar, yes. Change the Connected Transducer setting to HB 83/200 kHz or Generic 83/200 kHz---whichever it has so the SI circuits won't be pinged.
