Just moments ago they showed him again put the life jacket on (Not Zipped Not Snapped) fires up the big motor and off he goes

This time it was a clear shot from the front with no question he didn’t have it secured in any manor

To me it’s less about a penalty then it is what we are teaching people

I disagree. I have wondered the same thing before. Watching the patriot cup this week I seen what appeared to be a pro do the same thing and wondered if it was legal.

But after being shot at 15 confining me to a wheelchair and seeing to many friends gone to soon over silly things like this in the last sixty years I’ve come to learn safety above all else because there’s just to many stupid people on this planet

But that’s ok I get it I can read between the lines you all need to prove your big bad tough guys that don’t like to be told what to do
The only thing missing from your posts are “Here hold my beer”

I just hope you don’t kill anybody proving it

No they died because there is a stigma to wearing a life jacket even if you do not know how to swim. Tournament fishermen can help by setting an example. I see lots of tournament fishermen who refuse to wear a lifejacket or kill switch except during tournaments.

So this angler in a bass tournament wearing a PFD correctly would have saved those folks recreationally boating in a pontoon?
