I believe they work.
Even if you believe they don't you at least can't deny that they keep your livewell aired out. If you've ever had a fish throw up a shad or whatever and you didn't notice it to get it out you will appreciate the vent the next time you open your livewell.
I put TH Marine MAX Airs (Venturi) in my Ranger. They aerate very well - No changes to the Basscat - super deep livewells. hahaha.. and the spray bars that BCB premium models have do the same thing.

I have them in my 94 PII and I love mine.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
Basscat livewells are so deep, fish can just go below the thermocline if they choose too...lol.
They flat out do absolutely nothing, yes I have had them for over two years
