    Garelick ladder pin

My 2006 triton Tr-196 has a transom ladder that slides in to boat hull. Previous owner evidently lost the pin and just used a piece of wire to hold ladder in. I can't seem to find a replacement pin. Anyone have a pic of the pin? I figure I can find a pin somewhere if I knew the size and what it looks like. Thanks

Looks like you'll have to fabricate your own.

I'm pretty sure it was a pin like this. I recently bought a used Triton and the previous owner did the exact same thing as yours and I’m looking for a pin as well. I just need to get around to measuring the size of the hole in the ladder.

I received another email saying that they are going to be sending me a "One time courtesy" pin assembly. It's actually a spring loaded pin. I bought a pin like dabassking showed but it doesn't fit right. The bottom of the pin from Garelick is bigger than the pin itself.

Can you post a pic when you get it?

IMG_1602.jpgHere's the ladder pin assembly that Garelick sent for my ladder. Just push the pin up from the bottom and twist ring in the hole in top of pin.

I had the entire end cap come off mine. I JB welded every pin that is on that ladder it looks ugly but it is hidden anyways.

Sorry to be a bother, but I can’t wrap my head around how you’d go about pulling that pin without having to take the ring off. Could you post a pic of it once it’s on the boat?

Sure. I really didn't see how it could work until I installed it. Works like a charm. I'll try to post a pic and maybe a video.

Pin is spring loaded in down position and rests in a recess below the ladder. Pulling up on the ring lanyard compresses the spring and lifts the pin out of the recess.....releasing the ladder.

That's exactly how it works. I just couldn't find the way to explain it. Been very busy today.
