    Question Lawn mower battery?

Need new battery for dixie chopper. Have Kawasaki engine. First battery lasted 7 years. Last 2-3 years had to charge first thing in the spring well this time that's not doing it. Came with battery that has 300 cca been fine and I think book says 500 or 550 cca. Most stores have some in 200's and 300 or 340. Should I get 300, 340 or look for the 500? Thanks

Order an AGM or get one at a store. My Dixie is in its 9th season and on its second AGM. Charge it a few times over the winter.

I agree the 300 has worked fine for many years --just get another 300 and keep on mowing

    I'm guessing it's a U1 size.
Go to walmart, get the everstart 340CCA for 40 bucks, put in mower, cut the grass..

don't tell anyone here you went to walmart..

You need to get lithium battery, and a charger with it. Of course check with your mower brand and verify it’s ok for a starter battery.

Or just go to Walmart and buy the right lawn mower battery.

My portable home generator has a mower battery for the electric start, it stays plugged in to a tender 24/7. So when one of the mowers needs a battery replacement I rotate the generator battery to the mower and the generator gets the new one.
