    rolling back update

Has anyone tried rolling back to previous version? I have read that if you don't do it right you can screw up a graph.. I was thinking about going back to version 2.20 on livescope.

If you have the previous version on an SD card it is really straight forward. I tried the last two updates and had no problem going back to 2.20 on my GPSMAP

I done a forced update just on my 1042 xsv a gentleman on here passed along. Ive had no issues with it. In fact other than a depth setting i personally believe the older version on the graph is better.

I've got a 1222 I'm about to install strictly for livescope. It'll be my first garmin. If i get it hooked up and it's got the 2.20 software are yall saying I should leave it alone and not update?

This is a link to the file you need on DropBox. This will install 2.20 on your Blackbox. This is for Echomap units.

If you do this, do you lose the on screen stuff like depth, gain etc.?

When i rolled my 1042 back to 17.10 the only thing i lost was the convenience of the push button access to depth. As far as my black box im still running 2.0 version.

When you roll it back, you will have 2.20 on the black box and whatever was the version for the Echomap unit at the time. The black box needs to be connected and everything turned on. Then, you can unplug the black box and install a later verison of the Echomap software on the head unit only.

That is what I did.. I rolled back back to 2.20 and when it rolled back the black box my UHD93sv rolled back to version 10.10.. I unplugged my GLS10 and update my garmin unit to 16.10... If I don't like 2.20 I can always update it to the latest software..
