Helix 12 MSI G3N share it's SI transducer with a Helix 9 MDI G3N thru ethernet conn?

    Hello,

I'm wondering if a Helix 12 MSI G3N can share it's side imaging transducer with a Helix 9 MDI G3N thru an ethernet box?
Or because it's a side imaging transducer it will not be able to share with a down imaging unit? Thanks for any info.

Yes, it will read/share the SI image AFTER it's processed by the SI unit. Transducer is connected to the SI unit, the MDI doesn't "share" the SI transducer, it displays the image sent by the SI unit to the ethernet.

So in the above situation, the GPS position for a waypoint marked on the “SI image” at the MDI unit will be generated from that unit, the MDI unit. Yes?

Yes, based on whatever GPS receiver was being used as a source.
