Is the 9 Mile launch still open to non-residents? Heard a rumor last year that they were closing it to non-residents. Thanks!

So not worth launching there? Next closest DNR launch is Harley I believe? Planning on fishing south end of the lake so was hoping to launch at 9 Mile.

If you have a second person with you who can either operate the boat or car it'll make life easier, by yourself you might get wet with how far you have to back into the water. Whether it's worth it or not is up to you. If the weather is nice launch north and enjoy the ride, if not deal with the shallow 9 mile launch or depending how far south you plan to fish you could launch in the Detroit River and come up.

Nine mile is fine as long as you have someone in the boat. The walk back to the ramp is the worst part....the anticipation of what is about to happen helps
