    Holding depth

What is the normal max holding depth for a 15ft Talon and 10ft PP.

    Thank you much

Subtract a foot to foot and half is general rule

Depending on the bottom composition and waves. If it's super soft mud you need more stuck in like a foot or 18", if it's dense gravel 2" of stick will work. But if the transom of the boat is coming up 1" or 5" it will slip you along till they are off the bottom or shallow enough to hold. ( you need enough vertical range to absorb the waves) anchors don't hold real good on top of slab rock or boat ramps but if in a rock pile they hold great.

If going buy the reading on your graph the transducer is typically around 1 ft more or less under the water. I can deploy my 8 ft Talons when my graph reads 7.2 ft and barely touch bottom and hold but actual water depth is very close to 8 ft.
