Heading to chick (Dayton) May 13-16

Play fishing. Any tips or advice appreciated. 🎣 Seen nothing but good things about it and have wanted to go for a few year,

way way way too many visitors have killed the lake, there's not an open point, lay down, creek or pocket without 4-5 boats. Good luck. You'll be disappointed.

I fished the south all last week and didn’t share a cypress tree or flat with anyone the entire week. Had a blast and the twelve of us didn’t keep a fish. We spent lots of money, I’m sure in this day and age that can’t hurt local economy.

You will see pre, spawn and post spawn fish. Shacky and Wacky rigs Green Pumpkin and Watermelon Red Fleck, BlueGill and Shad Color Crankbait, Swimbaits works good as well. Fish the Dayton - Hiwassee area of the lake.

Yep in talking with some of the locals the dayton politicians made a big push to bring tournaments and big crowds in stabbing the local fisherman in the back...Have seen some posting they are selling everything and getting out
