    Nema 2000 to HDS

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but thought someone on here may know. Connecting a Yamaha engine adapter plug for engine readout to my NEMA backbone to my HDS 12. Can this plug into the backbone itself where normally you would have a terminator on the end. I, unfortunately, don't have a terminator for one end of the backbone so thought maybe I could connect it there or does it have to be connected to a tee connector only?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

No. All equipment goes in on the center of the T and you need a terminator at both ends of the run.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

That's what I thought. Just have to find a female end now. Looked on ebay & theirs are gold plated.
