I just bought a Triton 1756 sc and it has a 24v minn kota maxxum 80lb on it. Currently it has 8 awg wire on it. I’m wanting to install a breaker on it and would like to know what size I need to get? Should I run 6 awg wire instead of using the 8 awg? I may switch to a ultrex sometime if that matters? It would still be a 24v though.
I’m also wanting to run a dedicated wire to a fuse block for electronics. What size wire would you recommend to run to the fuse block and what size breaker for it?

Going to a fuse box, I’d use 10AWG and fuse it at 20A or a smaller value if you know your max current for the equipment. A fuse is a reasonable choice here because it’s unlikely to blow unless something significant is wrong unless you want to use a switch rated breaker in the back to turn off power. You want a switch somewhere in the feed.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
nothing else matters.
Minn Kota wants you to use a 60 amp breaker for a 24V Ultrex. I had to change the one in my 08 Tr-186.
