Johnson 150 motor pops up when I accelerate

Posting this for a buddy so I don’t know motor info. It’s on a 2002 triton 186 and is the original silver Johnson 150. When he mashes the hot foot the motor pops up in the air. Like the trim won’t hold it to it’s trimmed position. What would cause this?

Have him check the fluid level in the trim reservoir first bleed if needed. They will pop up some if hard throttle is applied.

No. The TNT unit prevents the engine from pulling up in reverse. Do what Championman suggested.
