In the last couple years I've need to have oil prime sequence performed several times. I am a DYI kinda person. So im in the maket for a diagnostic tool to perform this procedure. I not looking for cheap but also not looking for the most expensive either. Just a good mid priced tool that will perform more than just a oil prime. Looking for links for the tool and any adapters that might be needed. In my area waiting 3 to 6 weeks for a oil prime is ridiculous for a 10 to 20 min procedure. Suggestions?

Have you contacted Brown’s Outboard in Glencoe, AL. Lee, the owner, is a very common sense guy and I would think he would do it with an appointment. They used to be a BCB Dealer up to 2019.

The 94106 kit will work for your Optimax engine (and most Optimax engine line engines built after July 1, 2006).

If you want the above PLUS the ability to do the CAN-based (G3) models, the 94030 kit is what you would want.


Earlier model (2-pin) support would require that you add the 94028 harness adapter.

No i have not check with them. I may give them a call. I am needing another project done on my lower unit. In my area just none I'll use. Some do though. I am very peculiar type of person and like stuff done right. I am a machinist if that says much. Don is just to far away! Though if i ever repowered i believe I'd head his way!
