is this the lift point for a Mercury 60 hp 4 stroke?

I don’t see an eye opening but this seems to be made for lifting a 250 lb motor.

I think they make a ring to thread into the flywheel bolt hole.

This is what they do for the 75/90/115 Opti’s so I’m with you.

I bought a lifting eye but didn’t see a threaded hole for it when I took the flywheel cover off. Is it under the flywheel? Anyway, I used the little loop in the picture and it worked. I’d still like to know for sure.

The 40/50/60 hp service manual calls that the “lifting eye” and shows a picture using it to lift the motor during installation.

My Dealer said that is the lifting eye for the 60efi 4 stroke. Do not take the flywheel off.
