Anyone ever added exhaust holes to a fury 3 blade?

Thinking of talking to Mark about this, but wanted to check here first. Trying to improve hole shot a little with the 3 blade.

I added 3 small holes to the stock PVS holes for better hole shot on my 27P Fury.

I guess mercury is making them all for four stroke motors now since they don't need the venting but they can have extra holes put in them. Mark used to do what Savage did to his adding 5/16" holes to it.

I have done that as well until I found a much better fix, if Mark can not do it I will send you a email with a contact that can, modifying the blade profile make a so so Fury prop a great prop. Will hook up and hole shot like a Bravo but considerably faster
I would bet that Mark has this knowledge about Fury but customers would pay less to have the holes added instead of doing the complete job for $300 up
    Thank You Leon Pugh

Using a titanium 1/4" drill bit, I added 3 holes to my 24 or 25 (i forget) Fury.
    Helped holeshot big time!

I had my fury 3 tuned by Mr Gilbert. What a improvement!!
He added 3 5/16” vent holes which allowed me to get the hole shot rpms just right and adjusted the blade progression.

I have had great success adding just one 1/4”or 5/16” hole to a fury 3 prop with the older 250 merc pro XS v-6. Made all the difference in the world for my holeshot after adding poles. I have not tried this on the new v8’s. And It that doesn’t help I just call Ronnie Gilbert and he is a magician!

I added three 5/16 holes to my Fury 3 and wow. There are some top guys on the boards here who have done the same. If your happy with the all around performance of the prop other than hole shot then add the extra holes and be done with it. If it’s to much you can still tune with the other plugs
