    Trolling motor quit

Hey guys, is there a thread on here for trolling motor problems? Mine quit suddenly the other day and despite 24v to the switch/motor I cant get anything out of it...I even tried a used one (same brand) that a friend gave me with the same results...two bad motors? Ive never had a problem out of mine (motorguide) and it is probably 6 yrs old with light to moderate use.

My Motorguide Digital 80 went from an intermittent problem running to not running, and it turned out to be the switch in the foot control went bad. The rubber cover on top of the switch broke, which prevented it from making contact.
BTW, there is a different forum for electronics and trolling motors that has an expert moderator on TMs

Using a meter, follow the voltage by starting at the Battery and test all along the way. Battery, Plug-in, Plug-out, switch off, switch on, etc until you find 0 voltage. Make sure your batteries are at full charge.
