Make sure its a A/M and buy an extra recharge kit. During a rough day, we were getting some pretty good spray and had the boater's life jacket deploy while driving.

Not with the HIT. It deploys via water pressure when submerged, not due to getting wet.

I bought one from scheels a couple weeks ago. It’s an inflatable auto/manual 24 for $79.00. Then I found one in the lake Sunday so I’ll be ordering a rearming kit for it & have a spare.

If it’s not a temperature issue I prefer the mustang 100mph, nothing fancy, just floats and is comfortable.

Mustang HIT. Do not go cheap on life vests. Important to get one you are willing to wear.

+1. Having been in an accident that broke my shoulder blade, I can tell you inflatables provide zero impact protection, and impact can bust the air cavity in an inflatable. I had a full vest on during that accident or I wouldn't be here.

I just bought the Mustang HIT Elite Competition vest. It is extremely comfortable.

I have the older version of this without the top pockets. I'm on my 2nd one. So comfy and I keep hooks in the pockets for easy quick access when I break one off. I still keep the old one as a spare. Mine is yellow which I like for the visibility factor plus the price is right sometimes I've even seen it on sale for $30
