    Drift Paddles: Yes or No?

    Hey yall.

Heading to Saint Clair this month and have always used a drift sock up there, but now that I have poles I wanted to get some drift paddles instead.

I recently had a buddy tell me he's heard a lot of people quit using them because they make too much noise with moving water behind them, and don't slow you as well as a drift sock. Does anyone have any experience with this before I spend $350 for a product that I might not be happy with?

    Thanks

At one time Wacky Riggers in Salisbury NC had a set of used one's for sale at a good price, can sometimes find them on Crappie.com also. May save you a few bucks if you decide to get some.

I do not hear anything when they are in the water slowing my roll. They work great.

they are somewhat annoying when your going to rip across the lake because you should strap them

I only use mine on LSC. So much easier than pulling out the drift sock. Also with spot lock and drift paddles down it really locks you in place.
