    lifting 150

I am going to install a jack plate on my Stratos 185. Going to use a harmonic balance puller to attract to the top of the flywheel on my VMax 150 (V150TLRB)
There are 3 holes drilled and tapped in the top of the flywheel hub. I thought they were 5/16 x24 but read somewhere that they are 10mm metric.
Anyone know the actual size and TPI?

Everything on a Yamaha is metric, not sure about the flywheel, but it would truly surprise me if it was anything but. My 200 has a lift ring attached to the block just on the top side in back of the flywheel. Guessing there might be bolt hols for something similar? You can also carefully use a floor jack (with wood for pad) with the motor in the vertical position. Not the recommended way, but if you can make it work by balancing on the skeg..

My 150 has the lift ring also, but looking at the position of that ring I can't imagine the motor not wanting to drop forward. Coming off the flywheel should keep me pretty straight

I pulled my motor using that bolted loop and it was pretty balanced. I pulled it with a harbor freight cherry picker, also to install a jack plate.

I have same motor. Have lifted numerous times with the installed lifting ring.

    No issues at all.

After installing your jackplate, use your power trim to help align when bolting on the motor. Move motor vertically up/down and power trim in/out.

3M 5200 is best sealant, but difficult to remove.
