Shorestation boat lift for 2020 Ranger 212 LS

Hey can anyone tell me if a 4,000 lb. boat lift would be ok to use with a Ranger 212 LS with a 250 pro XS. Iv been looking for a used lift but am unsure of what size is best for my boat. I believe the boat, motor and stuff in the boat will be in the neighborhood of 3,500 lbs.

Ive had my nitro on a shore station for 15 years and here is my 2 cents

Personally id go with a 5k lift, you wont be sorry you have the extra capacity but you might hate that you don’t have enough.

1 problem I didn’t realize is that by leaving the boat on the shore station all summer the sun is going to beat the heck out of your boat. Especially the hull. My boats hull will prove this. Get drapes or a boat cover you can install while moored.

The next problem is the amount of spiders you will have in the boat, I don’t have a solution for this one but it drives me nuts.
