Kistler Magnesium 73 heavy moderate

This was one of my first rod purchases when I got into this a few years ago. Kinda lost its spot in the rotation, but I’m wanting to mess around with it. What you guys using heavy moderate rods for?

I have the 7'3" xh expride (mod-fast), its fantastic for throwing those mid sized swimmers like the 5.8 and 6.8 keitechs. Also makes a great carolina/mojo rig rod, and obviously heaver jigs too but that depends on just how moderate it actually is, the expride is mod-fast, it only bends a tiny bit in the middle of the blank, it still has gobs of backbone. I have a daiwa heavy/mod that's good for throwing those heavier spinnerbait and chatterbaits 3/4 oz on up and magnum squarebills and cranks.

Good suggestions. I may have to dust off the whopper plopper and tie one on.
