Headed to Clear lake in a few weeks and launching out of Konicti, I have never fished there before...any suggestions on where to start?

Definitely take it easy on the lake and mind your depth. The lake is crazy low right now and dropping more and more every week. Fish are on beds right now pretty much all over the lake. 2-3.5lb fish are really easy to find and catch. The bigger ones are a little more elusive. Water temps are high 60’s to low 70’s depending on location and time of day. The wind has been brutal lately and the lake can get dangerous quick if you have to run from one end to the other. I’ll be up there all weekend!!
Thank you my friend!
When will you be in town?
I'd launch and fish the Red Bud and Rattle Snake Arms. North lake is choked and shallow. Senkos, Jigs, Drop Shot, Maybe some crank, and Top water.

You might have have to launch somewhere else in a few weeks. Check with Konocti before you leave. You can launch at the 5th Street ramp in Lakeport that is the closest ramp next to Konocti, and might be the last usable ramp later in the year. Be careful if there is a lot of algae on the ramp if you have your rear tires in the water when floating your boat off (back in very slow) and driving it on the trailer at the end of the day. I launch solo and put a brick in back of one if the front tires after floating my boat off and driving on the trailer at the end of the day in cause the rear tires start to slide and put it back in the truck after pulling forward a few feet so I don't run over it. Ross England mentioned people launching out of the Casino OK this past week, but said to be very careful. Check out his you tube channel for weekly lake conditions and fishing report. I would highly recommend Ross for guiding at Clear Lake.

Redbud is still usable as of this weekend although it's very shallow. As in maybe 1.5ft once in the water in the ramps. The 5th street ramp is the most popular option right now. Braito's still has enough water to launch as well if you're trying to get into the water a little more to the South. I caught some good fish this weekend. Put together a solid 26lb bag with a big fish that was just shy of 8lbs. The fishing does seem to be getting tougher for most folks though.
