    Barren?

How's Barren been lately? I need somewhere to go this weekend and I've narrowed it down to Barren, Barkley or Dale Hollow.

Barren was good last Saturday but a lot of rain. So it’s hard to say what it’s like now.

Although its not on the OP's list there is several good reports coming from the Ky/Barkley. The 2016 spawn was good on those lakes so 2-3 pound fish are showing up in numbers.

was there this past sunday and only caught 6 keepers and probably around 10 total fish, I would consider that a tough day. The shad spawn was all over the lake on that day.

8ish or so foot above summer pool as of yesterday. Chance of rain the next couple days also.

Fished from 9A-3P today, tougher than a two dollar steak.

Water is still in the trees and bushes. I’ve never fished this lake, expected it to look like Old Hickory, it looks more like Priest…rocky lake. Water temps were low 70’s. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

We ended up switching gears today. Instead of deeper we went shallow. I figured the fish would be following the falling water. I guess it's not falling fast enough cause they were right on the bank...think back side of buck bush shallow. A Super Spook Jr and large blade spinner bait were the ticket. We won our little tournament and big fish, 12.8 and 3.9.

    Water temps got to 74.
