Blackshear is my home lake. You can stay at the state park at Lake Blackshear resort. They have a restaurant called cypress grill it’s great. As far as running the lake. Starting at the state park running south run the dock line all the way to smoke bridge. Just stay off the docks about 150 yards or so. Just don’t run the west side you can see the timber. Running north of Highway 280 bridge run the channel markers. A lot of good fishing inside the state park area. Lots of cypress trees
You can also throw a frog in the patches of grass in between the docks on both sides of the lake. South of cedar creek on the west side of the lake has a lot grass to throw frog and swim jigs

A lot of trash on docks if you have the time to idle with side scan and mark them
