    Damn Wind!

Fought the wind some yesterday on Dripping Springs for a couple of hours.
4 fish, no color to them. 2 3lbers, no big ones. 59 degrees warmed up to 60.
Lake was a little low and has silted a lot since I used to fish it quite a few years ago.

Today the wind is roaring at my house and supposed to get worse all day.
I noticed that Okmulgee lake was down in the hollar and the lake was not whitecapping at all as I passed it at 2:00.
Has anyone fished that lake lately?
    It looks nice and clear.

2 days to my hip surgery and then crutches for two weeks and rehab after.
Looks like I won’t be on the boat for a while.
Hopefully I get out tomorrow for the last time for a while.

Yes, the wind is howlin today. I fought it most of the afternoon, yesterday, on Fuqua. It was tough fishin out there. Water low 60's and murky to muddy. Fish we caught didn't look healthy as evidence by being white and ate up with parasites.

Heading to Grand tomorrow since the fishing is so easy there.
I’ll be with one of my best fishing buddies from noon to 5. Not the best time but it is what we got for tomorrow and my last day for a while.
I hope it is good! If not we will still have a good time.

Good luck on the surgery. Had my left hip done 3 years ago. Sure feels better now. The fish will still be there when you heal up.
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

Wind wasn’t too bad on Grand today. Only 15 to 20 to 25 at times.
Fished two coves on the north side of lower Grand for 4 hours today with my good friend.
    20+ crappie, mostly non keepers.
    10+ bass mostly dinks.
Of course the big one did in fact getaway!
Had it on for a 5 count that will keep me thinking about it for quite a while.
Oh well, off to the hospital tomorrow.
I will leave all those fish to the rest of you fellers.
    Go git em!
