Trailer Entry Step Hits Truck when turning

I have a dream garage. I can drive into it, drop my boat and when ready to go fishing again I just it hookup and drive out. However, to get into the garage I have to drive past it and make a sharp 180 degree right turn. I have a 2018 Ranger Z521l with a Trailer Entry Step. ( Really 2 steps with a lower one and a higher one with a pole.) Just got a new Chevy 1500 Silverado and the front lower step hits the corner of the right rear bumper when I make this hard right turn. I didn't have this problem with my 2018 Tahoe.

I have removed the lower step and have yet to try it with the step removed.

Just wonder if anyone else has run into this situation and how they dealt with it.

I've seen some use an extension for the receiver, to put the boat a little further away from the truck.

I have an extended bar that I use and it does put the boat back further 6" or so. But I have to jack the rig really hard to come close to the step on my trailer.

Try going around the block and coming in from the left side.
