    Heidecke

Was considering taking the boat to Heidecke tomorrow for the first time. Any suggestions? I know the wind can be tough. And I'd be casting, not trolling. Any advice or recent fishing reports would be appreciated.

Going to be 16 mph winds by 10am or so - they may shut down the lake as it is designed to catch wind. Just a heads up. Fishing in 3-4 foot rollers is not my idea of fun at all.

Look at the NOAA wind forecast for the day.

The park guys told me they fly the flag color by the highest expected winds(they use the NOAA forecast) and may close/ not open the gates, even though it is calm at that point in time of day.

I appreciate the info. Any idea what mph would be considered "too bad" on the lake?

Makes sense that it's designed for wind. Hadn't considered that.
