    Bump up? Diameter? Pitch?

Going up in pitch or diameter doesnt mean more speed/performance normally.... It can reduce performance unless you are hitting the rev limiter.

Depends on your boat. I ran a 23P Raker on a 140 Suzuki, skiing dropped to a 21P

I have a DF140A with a 3x14x21. I can only get 5200 out of her. Been recommended to go to a 3x14x17 or 3x14x19. By going to a either will it affect my overall spped?

You can actually gain speed dropping pitch if the motor makes more HP at higher rpms...

So if I understand correctly, dropping to a 19 should give me 200 more rpm's? 17 - 400 more from the 21 pitch?

200ish rpms per inch pitch.. 21 down to 17 should give 800ish more rpms in the same exact prop. 19 should see 400ish more rpms.

Ah, more better. Going to a 17 should get me closer to the upper limit at wot.
    Thanks for the clarification

Ya dropping down in pitch will bring your rpms up. What do you have for a boat/motor setup? I'm interested in your results as well. I currently have a javelin renegade 18dc with a Johnson/ Suzuki 115. I found my motor seems to like props with bigger diameter. Running a solas 21p at 5900rpm and getting about 44-45 mph by myself. I'm tempted to raise my motor and see if I can turn a 23p to gain some speed. Hope you get the results your looking for

I ran the 17P yesterday and way too much rpm's. I was at 6200 before I knew it. Had more throttle left but backed off when I hit 6200.
Exchanged the 17 for a 19. Let's see what happens

Ran the 19P today. 5800rpm wot with 36mph. Kind of windy today so my 38mph should hold on a calm day. So good reference data when I finally decide on the right prop for my 22' Misty Harbor Tritoon. So not interested in hole shot, more interested in cruising speed and pulling grandkids on towables.
    17P - 6200+ rpm (probably 6400 wot)
    19P - 5800rpm
    21P - 5200rpm.
So with this data it appears to jump 300rpm per inch of pitch. All 3 props were 3x14's
