You will not regret it. I got one last summer and absolutely love it!

I've had good luck with the Bear Mountain pellets. Cheap, readily available (Menards carries them around here), good flavor, don't get burnt up quickly, not bad at all with ash.

A buddy bought a Pit Boss. I was impressed when seeing it operate.

I've had the same grill for about a year now, use it 2-3x a week. I've tried a bunch of pellets and settled on PitBoss. Their cheap but burn well and leave as much flavor as the more expensive brands.

Bear Mountain. Nice because you can make your own blends and play around with them.

On a side note, get a couple smoker tubes to go in there when you're cooking - they help give that little extra kick of smoke you may like.

I have a PitBoss and started with their chips, and agree they work well. Haven't had a reason to change.

I use the Pitboss Competition Blend in my Traeger. I get them from Lowe's. They are much less expensive and you get double the amount of other brands.

I buy the 40lb bag they sell at Sam's club, cheap and they work good enough for me.

Nice looking grill! I've been a pellethead for several years. First was a Smokey Mountain (Traeger knockoff) from Sam's Club, then bought a Green Mountain. Use them both at times. I normally use Lumberjack pellets from Atwood's Ranch and Home.

Lumberjack pellets I’ve kept coming back to. Comp. Blend and Supreme Blend are two good starters for just about anything.

BTW, congrats on the pellet burner, got my Stampede last summer and couldn’t be happier with it.... burn 3-5 days if I can. Try the sear plates if you didn’t pick them up, opened up even more outdoor cooking options

I have used B & B from Academy, they work well, have used the PitBoss competition blend really liked it and have used some Kingsford this last time and it was good. Used the PitBoss because Lowes had the 40lb bag for $9.99, would buy some more if Lowes gets anymore of it in.

Have a Smokin Brothers, made right here in town. Customer service that you won't get from a big company. I don't use their pellets tho, I use Traeger that are sold in the local Ace. They burn all the way down for me with little residue.

Not too hijack but has anyone tried the wedge for extra smoke over the tube? Been eyeing them up for a little bit heavier smoke at times.
