Camp Chef or Lumber Jack pellets. Or any that claim to be 100% of the wood that is the flavor. A lot just have a bit of the claimed wood along with other, plain wood and fillers.

I haven't tried enough pellets yet to notice a difference, BUT I absolutely agree with the smoke tube. My new Grilla grill is built like a tank but puts out little smoke. $12 for a smoke tube fixed it.

just replaced my 4 year old Pitboss 340 with a new Pitboss Laredo 1000...can't wait to use it this weekend. The 340 was a great pellet grill and I used it a ton

I’ll tell you what NOT to buy.... Green Mountain Davy Crockett tailgate pellet grill. My patio has numerous cookers on it, thought I would pick up one of these smaller pellet grills. Big mistake. 60° temperature swings, noisy and inaccurate temperature readings - - does not work well.

Yup. Recteq is awesome. I will second the Bear mountain pellets. Available at tractor supply or I get them at our local grocery store too. Albertsons/Vons. My favorite pellets by far.

Do not buy Traeger pellets. They have oil flavorings. Make sure, no fillers and 100% hardwood.

+1. Only brand Ive ever used and dont see that changing. If you can get a group together and buy in large quantities you can get a great deal on pellets. Our group ordered 1 ton and it was $15 for a 40lb bag

If your smoke tube doesnt make enough smoke -----try lighting it in the middle.

I have a Yoder competition on the back porch, have not used my egg or gas grill in over a year, ordered a Camp Chef portable for our camper, it is a little large but will come in handy on the longer stays.

Awesome. Check out my YouTube videos. I've done a few cooks on my Recteq. It's super easy to use. Lemme know if you have any questions.
