Good question. There are plenty of predators in the area that would make short work of it. Black bears love them. Because of all the predators the doe might have left the fawn hidden while she grazed. Near the end of the video (December, I think) you see a lamb crossing in the snow. Maybe that was the fawn. And maybe it was a completely different deer
