Question on Lake Master

I have a friend with a Helix unit, he had a lakemaster chip but the unit doesn’t recognize it. Any ideas why and how to correct the problem?

Lakemaster mapping is unique to Humminbird. Try changing card slots. Verify you can view the contents on a computer. Try reading card in another unit.

Did he happen to put it in computer and accidently copy or change anything on it? Do you have another friend that has a different Lake Master Card to try? Read manual for map card section and being able to select which card is in use. There are settings I know on solix units maybe someone with Helix unit can chime in.

If you can't read the card in the unit, the next step is either try it in another unit or viewing the contents on a computer to determine if the card has been corrupted. In Auto mode, the Helix will automatically select Lakemaster if a readable LKM card is inserted in either card slot. If using an adapter for a Micro SD card, can try changing adapters.

I doubt that he tried it in a computer he uses a IPAD all the time. I'll check it in my Solix and see if it works.
