    Where to go?

Gonna be taking a trip somewher for 4 days, first week of June. Coming form Houston. Want to go hit up some lakes I've never been to. Here are my options I was thinking of, just wondering if anyone else had any input?

-Stay in Nacogdoches and fish Lake Nacogdoches, Nachoncie, Pinkston, anywhere within about 30-40 miles from Nacogdoches. Never have been to any of these or even seen them..

-Stay in Jefferson, TX and spend those 4 days on Lake O' the Pines and Caddo Lake. Again, never been to or seen either of them. Lake O' the Pines is at the top of my list of Texas lakes I want to fish. I'm not too sure about Caddo Lake or if it would be even worth my time

-Stay in Gilmer and fish Fork, Bob Sandlin, and Lake O' the Pines. I've been to Fork one time years ago, but I was too young to really remember anything

These are just my thoughts, what's been fishing good? Any of these good summertime/June lakes? I'll be running a boat obviously....

    Thanks

If you chose Gilmer, I'd skip Fork and fish Lake Gilmer. Lake Hawkins is another fun lake in that area.

I think you have some good options there. I would be torn on your first 2.

I have not fished Caddo, and that is something I want to do at some point.

Caddo is a beautiful lake but it can be eye opening to fish it!

Well you will not be disappointed in Nachonice or Lake Nacogdoches, I love both of those lakes and the chances of catch a double digit bass at either place, by that time of year there should be a lot hydrilla at both places, sometimes too much grass to fish effectively. Should be a topwater bite at both lakes, good frog lakes.

Think my buddy and I decided on doing the Nacogdoches trip.. Nacogdoches, Naconchie, Pinkston, Timpson maybe..?

Gonna wait for our next 3 day weekend to take off a few extra days to make it a 5-6 day trip to Lake O the Pines and Caddo. We have 4 days this time so the Nac trip just makes more sense
