    Horn not working

My horn is not working. Any ideas on where I can start looking for problems? Thanks

Most likely its a blown fuse. I have to replace mine often. You need take the switch panel off, and there is a 5 amp fuse for the horn. If I remember right, its on a white and orange wire.

There is no fuse labeled horn. Where are you finding this fuse?

On mine, you have to remove the panel that the switches are on and the fuse is in the bird's nest of wiring behind the panel.

Gotcha. Do you recall what type of fuse and how many amp? Is it a tube looking fuse or the fuse with the 2 prongs going down. Thanks

That fuse is a booger to find, but it is in there in the bundle of wires. I had to replace the horn on my 721 3 times and the fuse once.

I went to pick my boat up at the dealer and happened to check the horn and it wasn't audible. The tech ended up pulling the windshield and the console shroud to get to the horn. Once he removed the pieces he found a wire at the horn that wasn't completely fastened. That resolved the issue. This is just another area to check if you get to the fure and it isn't the issue.

Check the connectors on the horn switch. One of mine was not connected on my boat.

My horn went bad after about two years. Emailed Tim and he sent a new one free of charge. Switched them out and works perfectly.

A buddy got my horn to work. It was a fuse. I asked him how he traced it to that fuse and he said he more or less started guessing on the fuses.

Mine on my last 721 didn't work and the fuse was OK. I took it off and there is an adjustment screw in the horn that allows the internal plate to vibrate. You can change the pitch of the horn by adjusting it. When I turn it out a half-turn, it was good a loud.

Mine stopped working and after taking off panel it Looks like horn runs to acc switch fuse. But all other items connected to acc switch work
is their separate fuse for horn

check ground/ground wire, then run a separate wire from battery to horn, if it doesn't work, replace horn.

Something has to be causing the fuse to blow. Replacing the fuse may only be addressing a symptom and not the real problem. Is the horn maybe on the borderline for a 5 amp fuse?
