    Carlisle tires / upgrade

Well I had to upgrade my tires due to blow out on my single axle trailer. What came with the 518c was Carlile ST215/75/r14. I went Goodyear Endurance ST215/75R14

    I hope they work better.

Tire Max Load per Tire1 Max Speed Diameter Max Pressure Maximum Safe Rig Weight for Single Axle1 Maximum Safe Rig Weight for Tandem Axle1
    Carlisle Radial Trail RH 215/75R14 1870lbs 87MPH 26.8" 50psi 2992lbs 5984lbs

I hear the Endurance is a very good tire. You should have good luck with them. I’ve had the Carlisle tires you had and I didn’t have very good luck with them. Carlisle makes a much better model. It is the “Radial Trail HD”. It’s an 8 ply tire vs 6ply. They are rated for 2039 pounds per tire and a speed rating of 81mph. They also have a maximum pressure rating of 65psi. They have been very good for me. I have been through 2 sets and I have been very pleased with them. I replaced my 1st set due to age even though they had very little wear. I don’t like taking any chances so I went ahead and changed them. The Marathons that originally came with my boat were absolute junk. I had a blowout with one and the others didn’t wear very well. They were only 2 years old. That’s when I switched to the Radial HD. I will stick with those unless I start having issues with those. Good Luck
    Have a Blessed Day,
    Mike

You are comparing a Class "C" tire to a Class "D" tire. Carlisle makes a "D" as well that is very similar in weight, speed rating and PSI at 65lbs. I have upgraded my C rated Carlisle tires to there D rated and they have been great. Very heavy duty tire.

My Carlisle Radial Trail HD tires have been great. Going on three years and very high mileage with out an issue.
